The Toney
Volunteer Fire Department is actively seeking local
firefighters, emergency medical technicians & administrative
members.
Be part of one
of the most progressive volunteer emergency response
organizations in Madison County. Training is provided and
the benefits are awesome.
Basic
Requirements
Getting started with the TVFD is easy ...
At least 18 years of age
No training required for new applicants
Complete application to include full criminal background
check and interview (usually takes 4-6 weeks to complete
process)
Once your application is a passed the interview and
background check you go into a 60 Day Observer status
probationary period. This is where you basicly get to watch
what we do on calls and around the station and help out
where is needed and we get to know you.
Attendance at monthly meetings and occasional special
events. Then after the 60 days is up your application goes
in front of the department for a vote. If you are accepted
you become a member and start your training and are on
probation for 1 year.
